So it begins…

As many of you know, my lovely husband, was the first to gray in the family.  His beard hair has been gray since the night I met him(sooo can’t blame that on me)… BUT…. he didn’t have any gray hair until Dirk was six months old.  Two months later and VOILA- I have joined the ranks.

BUT…

My hair is not gray.

NOPE.

It is PURE WHITE.

And a tad curly.  Who knew?

I yanked that bad boy out.  Grabbed a piece of tape.  And stuck that sucker in the baby book as my mother did before me.  Yep.  We are ‘those’ people.  Alas, maybe I should be grief stricken… or upset… or you fill in the correct emotion… BUT- I don’t feel anything of the above.  I smiled.  Proudly stuck that baby in the book and then promptly texted the family.  Yes, I said proud.  Birthday’s are celebrations of life… years well lived(hopefully) and the smile wrinkles and proceeding white hair are gentle reminders.
