Our goal is to eat outside as often as the weather allows it. I strive for 2-3 times a week where we dine outside as a family. Getting outside in the fresh air and being able to play around keeps meal time fun and exciting. Plus messes make memories.
One of my rules is that it is okay to get dirty. Life is too short to worry about stains. The look of fear when a child realizes they had an “accident” and a little bit of dinner ended up on their shirt? Not worth it. The kids do their best and that is all that I will ever ask of them.
I love creating experiences that they cherish. And picnics? Picnics are THEIR FAVORITE. I can’t quite put my finger on it but- fresh air, playing hot lava monster, and deliciously fresh food is a win. Toddler win. Preschooler win. Mom win.
Nuby now has a fabulous line of stainless steel products that help keep food cold AND fresh. Fresh strawberries at the Zoo? Wait it takes us thirty-five minutes to get there and they NEVER want to eat when we just get there… oh there is a stainless steel container for that. Kept my food cold for nearly six hours. SIX.
With Raymond’s food allergies, along with the rising grocery bills(hello growth spurt) and the fact that allergy-free food costs A LOT more-the options can tend to get boring. Hooray for entertaining snack keepers. When Raymond was two we had an iMonster Snack Keeper and now again over two years later another one enters our lives and makes snacking fun again. Plus it keeps the snack IN the snack keeper.
Fresh fabulous strawberries-Em and Raymond’s favorite. Now you have a chance to check out Nuby’s full line of feeding products. Visit Babies R Us stores to view Nuby’s full assortment of feeding products & SAVE BIG during the Babies R Us Mega-licious Mealtime SALE (3/1/16 – 3/31/16)!

Don’t let your fear of grass stains keep you inside. Messes make memories. Plus they grow out of clothes so fast… let them live in their clothes, truly live.

As a mom of two sweet munchkins I am on my feet ALL DAY chasing them on our adventures. Teaching definitely prepped my journey into motherhood for the long hours, teaching tiny souls, and being on your feet. My new pair of Rocky 4EurSole Clogs would be a perfect compliment to ANY teachers wardrobe… but it works just as well for this busy mom on the run!
Rocky 4EurSole Inspire Me Women’s Western Embellished Leather Clog
The shoes arrived in this FABULOUSLY large box which makes sense when you find that each pair of shoes comes complete with 2 pairs of footbeds. You can literally swap out the footbed to completely change the look of the shoe and for the purpose. I LOVE that you can use the full back portion for when you truly need protection for your feet. I immediately thought of my sister(a nurse) and how these shoes would work perfectly during those 12 hour shifts.
I loved wearing the Western Embellished Clogs(I do live in the desert) the past week to really test out how many hours I could comfortably wear them. All day. I wore them from park play date through dinner prep and cleanup crew- no aching feet over here.
Today I am sharing how I styled the Clogs to fit my lifestyle as a busy mom of two. Check out below to find easy ways to wear these shoes every day!
Flare is BACK! At least for me it is. And really, what is personal style if it can’t be personal? I loved rocking the full back option with my extreme flare jeans and pale green blouse for our park play date(no wood-chips in these shoes) and school drop off and pick up. Definitely a great way to wear them in any sort of weather.
With these slip-resistant rubber outsole you can prevent any falls and oh-no moments. I may have ran on our slick-when-wet cement patio after the puppy and what usually is an epic fail turned into triumph as I was able to save one of the kid’s toys from being gobbled up.
The weather is heating up and I love being able to dress-down into comfy clothes the minute I get home. Jean shorts and a sweet top are the perfect compliment to my lifestyle. I love that I can add the back buckle for extra support and to get that perfect country look. I did work on a farm in order to ride horses when I was little so I believe I’ve earned the ability to wear country style. Plus? I love the classic look.
The perfect look for me as we transition into spring is this fun, flowery blouse with classic white shorts and fabulously comfortable clogs with no back. I love the airy look and the shoes are a perfect compliment.
This past weekend I chased after the kids at soccer in this outfit. A quick switch of the strap from the front to the back and I can easily catch up to both my munchkins-even on grass. We ended up riding bikes in the afternoon and going to the playground with Nana which ended with everyone learning a new game- Monkey on the Ground. A hilariously fun game filled with tons of running and climbing on the playground that was easily achieved with this perfect spring outfit as our weather has dipped into the 80s.
LOVE my new shoes! I am walking on air all day now. Shoes can be comfortable AND stylish. The Western Embellished Leather Clog is timeless and classic-exactly what I look for in shoes. Add in the durability, comfort, and multiple ways to wear them and these are definitely a smart find for all of you hard working women!
What shoes do you live in?
Which of these clogs are your favorite?
My second favorite is the Nubuck Leather Clog– love the light leather look!
Be on the look out for their NEW line of sandals that are coming soon. This type of comfort in stylish sandals? YES please.
Thank you to Rocky 4Eur Sole for sponsoring this post. As always all opinions are always 100% my own.

The kitchen sink is the cornerstone of the kitchen. The dishes may pile, but it has the best view of my two munchkins running around after the puppy in the backyard. Today I am sharing how in less than five minutes you can make a DIY Unique Soap Dispenser to brighten up your sink(and day).
LOVE my bright addition to my kitchen sink! Plus these gorgeous beauties work on pedestal sinks and can be the POP of color your bathroom needs.
For those that know me, you know my love for Diet Coke runs deep. It truly is my afternoon pick-me-up and is a treat that I serve myself every day. Right now you can go grab a couple of these Uniquely Mine Glass Bottles to enjoy-add in the fact you can find ones that fit YOUR personality and the decor for your sink of choice and it becomes oh too much fun. But seriously, I spent ten minutes figuring out which one would go perfectly at every sink… and perhaps for my sisters and mother.
On my last trip to my local Kroger store I grabbed a BUNCH of the Uniquely Mine Diet Coke bottles, along with two twelve packs of pure awesomeness. No two bottles are the same. Seriously, I immediately gravitated toward my favorite colors and even found the bottle that matched my blouse.
Uniquely Mine Diet Coke Bottles & Cans
DIY Soap Dispenser
First you will need to find the top of a soap dispenser to use for your new kitchen accessory. I grabbed this from the kitchen gadget aisle of my Kroger store-but you can re-use the ones that you currently own.
You literally just take off the top of the soap dispenser from your current soap dispenser.
Of course you will want to enjoy the Uniquely Mine Diet Coke FIRST… I couldn’t wait to start transforming my kitchen so instead of popping the glasses into the fridge I just added a few ice cubes and enjoyed my afternoon moment of zen after returning with my groceries.
Don’t forget to wash out the Diet Coke bottle before adding in soap… I buy soap refills in bulk-BIG savings-and was able to use a kitchen funnel to add in the soap to my NEW soap dispenser.
Simply twist on the soap dispenser lid and VOILA- you have a gorgeous new piece that is truly one of a kind! This five minute DIY project is super simple but it makes a big impact!
DIY Uniquely Mine Diet Coke Soap Dispenser
Perfectly Paired for the Guest Bathroom
Where is the Diet Coke bottle? It goes perfectly with my blouse-add in a comfy chair in the backyard to sit, relax, and just enjoy the day. Now that is my kind of perfect.
Go grab a couple of Uniquely Mine bottles STAT- they are only available while supplies last!
What sink would you like to brighten up?
What colors do you gravitate toward? I love soft muted pinks and blues!

Loving simple ways to up my style throughout the week! I LOVE how I feel when I put myself together in the morning-whether that be for school drop-off, errands, or a meeting for work. I love classic pieces that can be worn many different ways and a must for me is comfort- if it hurts to put it on and stand in front of a mirror-it doesn’t make it home, ever.
Today I am linking ALL of my favorite season transition pieces that can help as we transition to Spring. Or if you live in the desert like I do, straight to summer.(Affiliate links included)
Black Opaque Tights are my JAM. Comfortable and classic. What a fabulous way to stay warm and look streamlined. Plus as you can tell… I do not adhere into any of the old “fashion don’ts”. White after Labor Day? Yes, please. Black, Brown, AND Blue in the same outfit? Whatever floats your boat. This blouse is my FAVORITE go-to the last five months and I don’t see how that’s going to change anytime soon.
X0X0- LOVE this fabulous find from my sister. Super sweet sentiment as I embark on my own journey in the New Year. Plus it is breathable and soft-my kind of sweater. Add in the jeans that feel like butter and this is the perfect outfit for a trip to the movies or a day shopping with friends…. or running after two munchkins. Potato-Potatoe.
These boots were MADE for walking. I’ve walked miles in these over the last year and they still look brand new and are as comfortable as ever. It pays to invest in a few things for your closet. These boots are definitely a great buy that will last you years!
Plus I have owned the same wallet for the last ten years… and it was looking a little worn(okay a lot). Thankfully this sweet gift popped into my mailbox and it was love at first sight! It fits my iPhone 6, Epi-Pens, and cards easily. Without the Epi-Pens it would fit my car keys, but a necessity is a necessity, and Epi-Pens will always win as a food-allergy mom. A cross-body that turns into a clutch and back in less than thirty seconds? YES. Add in the hues of rose gold and this is my new favorite accessory. Can’t wait to wear it at work conferences this year teaming with business cards and some power lipstick.
What is your favorite transition piece?
Do you have a go-to accessory that you love?
Would LOVE to hear from you!
