Be KIND. For everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. 💙
You never really know a person’s story. There are so many pieces to my story, my life. I try to project positivity because the world is hard enough. Hope that I can teach the next few generations that being a bystander in life is giving their implicit approval. Speak up, Show up, and NEVER give up.
The past year has proven to be a journey unto itself. Moved out to the country. Made moves to be able to work my dream job- cough cough- hard work pays off. Let myself move on. I gave myself some much needed grace. I know that I deserve happiness. I am bigger than my circumstances. I am stronger than my circumstances.
Small Bucket List?
AP Seminar Certification
Teach US History
Style the Farmhouse
Now back to 2017.
So far I was able to get certified to teach AP Seminar, a spectacular new approach to teaching that is changing lives. I am teaching over 100 kind souls US History. I coached HS Varsity Track. Now I am the Head Coach of the Varsity Boy’s Soccer Team. My Farmhouse? Feels like home. Family trips were made to San Diego this summer and I relished in the sound of kids laughing, sand in my toes (and ear if we’re honest).
2017? 2017 has been one of the hardest years emotionally.
But through the pain, there grew tremendous opportunities, and pure joy.

The second quarter of the school year has just ended and this High School Coach is ready for a break! As a busy mother of two, AP Teacher, and Varsity Boy’s Soccer Coach my schedule is constantly in flux. Making sure that everyone has everything they need in the classroom, at home, and on the field is taxing. Check out how I have made sure I don’t crash during the 15 hour days I put in with teaching and then coaching.

Every morning at 5AM I throw breakfast, lunch, and snacks into my teacher cooler and head out the door with coffee in hand. My car smells like the Soccer Field and the coffee in my hands helps just a bit… but good lord. With all of the brain power, mom power, and coaching power flowing throughout the day I can get pretty burned out. To stop the mid-day slump I grab one of the Dannon®Oikos® Nonfat from my cooler I keep in my classroom.
The Dannon®Oikos® Nonfat Yogurt Drinks come in packs of four and I am loving the Vanilla Flavor. There are 10g of Protein per 7 fl oz and Zero Added Sugar! I love that it is easy to grab on my weekly trip to Walmart. The four packs are easy to grab and store in my fridge.

I wanted to try the other new option this week before practice. The quarter was coming to an end (I teach at a Year-Round-Schedule School) grades were due, students were antsy, and the heat just won’t quit here in the Valley of the Sun. So I relished in the Strawberry Dannon® Light & Fit® Nonfat Yogurt before coaching a field full of soccer players. Energy levels were maintained and I finished the week strong.
