Long lasting lip wear, totally smudge proof and kiss proof too! Exactly what this teacher and busy mom of two needs- something I can put on and then forget about. Upkeep? No thanks. Check out my thoughts on this fabulous new product and find out where to grab a set of your own.
Mulled Wine LipSense Lipstick
After I head out for the day OR night I tend to not want to worry about my look-as I do not have time for that- and with LipSense I actually do not have to look in a mirror to know that it still looks like what it did right when I applied it.
Love my Lips
Mulled Wine & Gloss
Mulled Wine LipSense Set- Layer the color on three times, set with gloss, and BAM you are good to go.
LipSense OOPS Remover
You can tell I have used the OOPS Remover… I’m working on my lipstick game… but this takes the color right off… and is the only thing that will. HONESTLY.
Love my Lips- Mulled Wine Set
Mulled Wine makes my heart happy. I do not know what it is about putting on lipstick-but it makes me full pulled together. LOVE that feeling.
You definitely want to try this product and scroll through the color combinations that Ashley wears on her Instagram-I have to see a color worn on a REAL person before I use it and she definitely helps you figure out the perfect colors to try for the look you are going for.
What beauty product do you LOVE?
I need some new recommendations as we head into the New Year!

As the weather cools down I thought I’d share my favorite Fall and Winter Outfits. As a busy mom of two and teacher I need to be comfortable. Another key is that the staples I pick up this season need to be able to go from Day to Night for when I attend events. I love being able to throw on a pair of heels, some chunky jewelry and feel instantly ready- completely key when time is of the essence.
Love mixing and matching some favorite pieces! A new favorite is a pair of plush velvet pants that are my favorite color… purple. I love what I love and am enjoying the weather finally cooling off in the Valley of the Sun.
What fashion trend are you loving this Fall?
Would love to hear from you.
To wear a choker or to not wear a choker?!? That is the REAL question right now.

As the holidays rapidly approach and my to-do list becomes packed with shopping for the family, baking, and attending those notable soirees I like to be prepared. As a busy mother and teacher, shopping for myself is never on the top of the list, nor is it a priority. Finding styles that can work throughout the busy holiday season is a MUST. Can’t wait to style this fabulous White House Black Market number for holiday parties, Christmas, and of course work events.
Holiday Dress Style
After taking a little bit of my lunch hour last week I scoured some of my favorite sites for ideas on a dress that could be worn the entire season. A BUNCH of favorites were found at my local White House Black Market.
Black Lace Sheath Dress
The Black Lace Sheath Dress is double layered and incredibly comfortable. I loved how the lines helped accentuate my shape and the fact that while worn at a cooler evening event that the long sleeve dress kept me warm. For size reference- I am 5’7”, 120lbs and wearing a 2. Love the length and fit. Dress fit true to size.
I wore the dress to a dinner event for work with closed toe pumps and simple gold jewelry. For different occasions I plan on wearing my strappy, black heels, chunky jewelry, and my hair up. The fabulous women working when I tried on the dresses at White House Black Market mentioned wearing a red heel with the dress and I think that might just have to happen this holiday season.
Grab this dress while you can- the sizes are being sold out– and goodness is it the perfect dress for the season.
Can’t wait to share some of my other favorite dress styles later this week. Loved this number from Elizabeth James– definitely one of my favorite designers.
Chalkboard Wall calling your name?!? It is WORTH the weekend project. All details for my DIY Chalkboard Wall- HERE.

Shhh I have a little secret… Guess who can add in some fabulous hair volume whenever I feel like it? THIS GIRL. For years I wanted the ability to add some oomph to my locks and with Irresistible Me I can. My hair game is on point now and I literally have NO IDEA why it took years for me to do this,
They are real hair extensions and the quality is seamless. I love that the hair texture can be styled with my own for a more seamless look and the color options were amazing.
When it comes to the color I would also recommend taking a few minutes and watching this video that shows you all the colors we have side by side so that you can compare and see the differences and be able to choose the color that matches your hair easily, just to make sure you get the right shade for you.
I watched this video a couple of times and it definitely made me feel a ton more confident when ordering.
The 100 human hair extensions come individually packed with one specially marked for you to open so you can gauge if the color that you bought will work for you. You ONLY open that package and check. Mine was perfect so I happily opened the rest and promptly went onto the Irresistible Me website to learn how to put these beauties in.
I would say that it took me a week of trying every day and it went from taking me 30-45 minutes down to nearly just five minutes. Big learning curve for this girl and I couldn’t be happier! Friends and family members have already purchased a set of their own after seeing it in person… honestly I love how I feel with the extra volume.
I will never, not have these for the rest of my life…. they are THAT spectacular.

Throughout the years of sharing about my life on social media I think the hardest part has been sharing who I am without the fear of judgement. I can NOT just smile at the camera and say cheese… it is not in my nature. So through the last year as I have ventured into working with companies I know and love in the fashion industry, putting myself out there, all by myself, has been necessary.
Working with brands that I love and use has always been a dream for me on this little space on the Internet. Now putting that into fruition with actually getting contracts, working on creating a concept, and then doing my best at strutting down a sidewalk where there ARE people staring? Well, it hurts my stomach to think about it now as I type- BUT it is a long goal realized.
I would say honestly that MOST of the photos are of me talking… cause look at that car that stopped to look… or AHH almost tripped on a rock… or I actually start singing… and yes I am working on this- BUT goodness does it feel all sorts of unnatural to put yourself out there sometimes.
I am grateful for this journey and the moments and memories that are the direct result of hard work. Dreams I never thought possible have come from this space, the space I frequent every night once the kids go to bed.
I want to tell you that IT IS worth it to put yourself out there. That while I do get negative comments (don’t we all?) that the good far outweighs the bad. That being comfortable in my skin, in my scars, in my role is important to me and most importantly to those two little souls that watch me day in and day out.
When the days get long you must recall the little victories. The simplest of moments matter and can help us through the darkest of circumstances. I am beyond grateful for social media and the direct positive impact it has had on my life throughout the recent changes this past year. There are no words to express how amazing this community is and I will never forget how even through the Internet- kindness rules.
So cheers friends to putting yourselves out there. Be it through work, making new friends, or just surviving the day. Take a moment to relish the here and now. Pause a moment.
Guess what ended up in my cart on #WineWednesday ? This fabulous bottle of Wente Wine Morning Fog Chardonnay which is a clear, crisp winner for when you need to slow down. Make sure to take time for yourself. Invite that friend over, scroll through Pinterest, turn on that old, sappy movie that gets you right in the feels. Make sure that you recognize that putting yourself out there is HARD. Life is HARD. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t worth it.
Over the past 130 years Wente Vineyards’ Chardonnay is consistently recognized as being the best-selling varietal in the country. Their wines are 100% estate grown and sustainably farmed in the Livermore Valley, San Francisco Bay and Arroyo Secco. Told you, CRISP-CLEAR-WINNER.
It is WORTH the struggle.
Goodness the road here has been ROUGH. But I will continue to count my blessings and realize that I am doing the very best that I can. That putting myself out there is worth it. It just is.
Now if I can just stop trying to get that jump shot- especially in heels-yah that would be smart.
What is your little victory?
How are you working on putting yourself out there?
Would love to hear from you!
