Challenger British Soccer Camp this Summer

British Soccer Camp is the most popular camp in North America – 150,000 campers! With an innovative curriculum that develops skills, speed and confidence in players ages 3-18, British Soccer Camps provide boys and girls with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international expert’s right in the heart of their own community.

In addition to teaching new skills and improving game performance, each British Soccer Camp provides lessons in character development, cultural education and is the most fun your child can have learning the sport they love!

Last year Raymond LOVED learning a little bit more about soccer and watching all of the older kids play.  I am excited that he will be playing again this year!

You can check out all about his experience last year and exactly what we needed to participate.

Challenger Sports- British Soccer Camp

I hope for the coaches sake that they have a new one for the little kickers program… I don’t know if the last one made it after surviving a group of three and four year olds!

Did you play sports growing up?

When did you start playing?

We grew up with my Mom coaching us in soccer and I loved playing basketball, running track, and playing competitive soccer.

Thank you to Challenger Sports for sponsoring this post.  As always, all opinions are 100% my own.

Arizona Ren Festival 2016

Fabulous day with my favorites. Turkey legs, chicken on a stick, corn on the cob, jousts, and rides at the Arizona Ren Festival. The swashbuckler Sir Francis Drake & Robin Hood were dashing and the Knights fought gloriously.

Chicken on a stick, Turkey leg, two ears of corn, and plenty of bottled water made for a memorable (albeit messy) mealtime at the Arizona Ren Festival.  Note: You can bring a bottle of water (unopened) per person and a small stash of baby wipes will go a long way out in the middle of the desert.

“Mom is that a pirate?” My history lesson’s told me he was an explorer… But he said he was a scallawag and ladies man. Apparently, my history books lied. “Why yes-yes he is a pirate.” Sir Francis Drake

Robin Hood was definitely the kid’s favorite “hero” other than the knights.

Corn on the Cob- Em had almost TWO whole ears.

The turkey leg that is clearly a meal for two or three.

The Pirate Ride

Four pirates propelled us and they dueled with wooden swords while we spun round and round.  They made our little ship laugh and laugh.  We were attacked, broadsided, and boarded-all while laughing so hard I got a side-ache.  So nice to see pure joy on the kid’s faces.

Both kids YELLED The Black Knight (from Scooby Doo) and asked for a photo with the real deal.

Our Green Knight was almost victorious in the Jousting Competition.  The kids really got into cheering for our knight and the fact that there was so much pageantry sitting right above us.

Our trip ended with a sweet nap on the ride home that carried over to the couch.

Fun For the Whole Family

The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a medieval amusement park, a 13-stage theater, a 30-acre circus, an arts and crafts fair, a jousting tournament and a feast — all rolled into one non-stop, day-long family adventure!

Get Outside: Picnic with Kids

Our goal is to eat outside as often as the weather allows it.  I strive for 2-3 times a week where we dine outside as a family.  Getting outside in the fresh air and being able to play around keeps meal time fun and exciting.  Plus messes make memories.

Nuby iMonster Two Handle Cup

One of my rules is that it is okay to get dirty.  Life is too short to worry about stains.  The look of fear when a child realizes they had an “accident” and a little bit of dinner ended up on their shirt? Not worth it.  The kids do their best and that is all that I will ever ask of them.

I love creating experiences that they cherish.  And picnics?  Picnics are THEIR FAVORITE.  I can’t quite put my finger on it but- fresh air, playing hot lava monster, and deliciously fresh food is a win.  Toddler win. Preschooler win.  Mom win.

Nuby now has a fabulous line of stainless steel products that help keep food cold AND fresh.  Fresh strawberries at the Zoo? Wait it takes us thirty-five minutes to get there and they NEVER want to eat when we just get there… oh there is a stainless steel container for that.  Kept my food cold for nearly six hours. SIX.

Nuby iMonster Snack Keeper

With Raymond’s food allergies, along with the rising grocery bills(hello growth spurt) and the fact that allergy-free food costs A LOT more-the options can tend to get boring.  Hooray for entertaining snack keepers.  When Raymond was two we had an iMonster Snack Keeper and now again over two years later another one enters our lives and makes snacking fun again.  Plus it keeps the snack IN the snack keeper.

Nuby Stainless Steel Food Jar

Fresh fabulous strawberries-Em and Raymond’s favorite. Now you have a chance to check out Nuby’s full line of feeding products. Visit Babies R Us stores to view Nuby’s full assortment of feeding products & SAVE BIG during the Babies R Us Mega-licious Mealtime SALE (3/1/16 – 3/31/16)!

Check out the FREE Mega-licious Mealtime Event on March 12th at ALL Babies R Us stores!

Don’t let your fear of grass stains keep you inside.  Messes make memories.  Plus they grow out of clothes so fast… let them live in their clothes, truly live.

The LOVE Bug Hand Print Art

The easiest craft for Valentine’s Day with your toddler and preschooler.  The Love Bug Hand Print Craft is a great way to save memories every year and to showcase new art up on the walls.  Kids truly do love seeing their art and crafts displayed.

The LOVE Bug Hand Print Art

Both of my munchkins LOVE playing with paint throughout the week.  They each chose the color for the body of their bug from about ten Valentine’s Day colors.  Giving them choices and a say always helps with making them feel truly involved during our art activities.

Love Bug Valentine's Day Craft for Toddlers & Preschoolers

Simply choose a body color and make the hand print.  I use clear tape to secure our card-stock to the table.  After waiting a minute or two(while each of them are off washing their hands) I flip the hand print around.

The hand print is now in Love Bug form and you can now have them choose colors for wings and head.  I kept out our set of washable paints in Valentine’s Day colors and they each chose their next color.The-Love-Bug-Valentines-Day-Hand-Print-Art-Craft

The finishing touches are adding eyes with white(and then black if they want-mine chose against that-which I actually think makes them look creepy-BUT it was their LOVE Bugs).  Easy Valentine's Day Craft to make with toddlers and preschoolers!

Love Bug Hand Print Art

-washable paint

-an eager toddler or preschooler

-frame or fridge to proudly display their Love Bug

Simply craft to make and give to family members this Valentine’s Day.  The keepsake of hand size along with the sweet gesture of handmade art is surely to win the hearts of grandparents everywhere.

What is your favorite Valentine’s Day Craft for toddlers or preschoolers?

Would love to find another craft or two(or three) to complete with my little ones before the holiday!
