Invisalign Teen Straight Talk{& GIVEAWAY}

When I think back to Middle School: the awkward stages, growth spurts, and the endless skin problems-they are seriously overshadowed by one single item = BRACES.  For two years in Middle School I got the pleasure of wearing metal braces.  Life as I knew it became just that much more worrisome.  Brace face? Yep.

 But you know what?  As an adult I can’t thank my parents enough for gifting me with the opportunity to have that perfect smile. Your smile is the gateway into so many social situations… so those two years? Worth every painful second.  The wires cutting into my mouth-the aching jaw- the basketball in the face incident with my lips being mashed into the wires? WORTH IT.

As a parent to The Toddler and our sweet baby girl- I can’t help but wonder if we will need to think about their future smiles.  But now? NOW? There are options!!!  Glorious options.

I was invited to an Invisalign Teen: Straight Talk event with other local Mom’s and Bloggers.  At the event we were able to listen to a Certified, American Board of Orthodontics Orthodontist.   Our Orthodontist,  introduced us to the benefits of Invisalign and Invisalign Teen and talked about the advancements of orthodontics- since many of us, including myself, had the pleasure of the original metal braces in our early adolescents.

Invisalign Teen is available to Pre-teens and teens. Sigh heard round the world people.  Now if our orthodontist in the future thinks it is prudent our little ones, even as pre-teens can receive treatment!

My favorite smile belongs to my babies!

Invisalign Teen:

Invisalign Teen clear aligners are removable and can straighten teeth without a mouth full of metal and all the disruption and sacrifice that comes with it.

With Invisalign, Teens can play sports without fear of injury and continue cheer-leading, musical instruments, acting and singing without interference.

Invisalign Teen eliminates emergency ortho visits for broken wires and brackets and requires fewer appointments since several aligner sets are provided in advance.

MYTH: I won’t be able to tell if my child is wearing Invisalign often enough for it to be effective.

Setting it Straight:  Invisalign Teen aligners are made with small blue dots, officially called compliance indicators, that gradually fade as aligners are worn.  It’s a quick visual check for parents and teens to confirm they are wearing aligners long enough to get results.  In fact, clinical data from orthodontists confirms that teens wear their aligners an average of 21 hours per day, just as recommended.

Invisalign Orthodontist:

Not all orthodontists specialize in Invisalign Teen.  Visit www.invisalign.com and select “find a doctor” to locate experienced Invisalign and Invisalign Teen doctors in your area.

With Invisalign, teens look better and feel more confident than they ever could in traditional braces.  Take the Invisalign Smile Assessment to find out if Invisalign is right for you or your child.

Truth be told?  The Hubby took this assessment because we know that he needs treatment.  Easy to use and navigate.

Money-Money-Money- something all of us parents surely worry about when it comes to making sure that our little ones are cared for!  The Cost Calculator helps you figure out what you could be expected to pay for treatment.

Invisalign Teen is covered by most dental insurance policies just like traditional braces- up to 50% of the cost may be covered by insurance! For more information on cost and insurance coverage, visit the Invisalign website.
